A stairlift means freedom of movement. By opting for a RehaLift by AcuMax Med AG, you maintain your independence and commit to a new quality of life. We will be happy to advise you personally and individually on the purchase of a stairlift that is perfectly suited to your needs.
Stairlifts maintain independence
Our specially qualified employees impress time and again with their ability to find the best individual model for your home during a detailed consultation. With a RehaLift by AcuMax Med AG, for example, the fabric or leather covers can be freely selected so that the stairlift blends in perfectly with its surroundings. Many people with restricted mobility rely on stairlifts to help them negotiate floors safely and conveniently. The high load-bearing capacity of our stairlifts is therefore combined with certified safety, regardless of whether the installation is indoors or outdoors. Remote control and joystick are now a matter of course, making the operation of a RehaLift by AcuMax Med AG even easier.
The advantages of stairlifts
A stairlift can be installed in almost any building, regardless of whether stair platform lifts or stair seat lifts fulfil the requirements. In a detached house, the stair seat lift is the usual solution if a resident can no longer manage the stairs without assistance.
Several variants of lifts are available, each of which is particularly suitable for different environments and individual requirements.
Particularly flexible: stair seat lifts
Customers usually buy a stair seat lift because the models are particularly space-saving and are therefore also used for curved or narrow stairs. If the seat can be folded up, additional individual space is created.
Stair platform lifts: suitable for heavier loads
Stair platform lifts are suitable for wheelchair users or people with rollators. The runways and brackets of our stair platform lifts are manufactured to be particularly stable so that they can carry a lot of weight. The footprint is larger than that of other lift variants.
Installation is similar to that of stair seat lifts, except that with stair platform lifts a platform is mounted on the transport mechanism instead of a seat. This means that people with rollators or wheelchair users also have the option of maintaining their individual independence on the stairs.
In addition to stair seat lifts and stair platform lifts, you will also find other types of stair lifts such as hoists or vertical platforms in our online shop. Our mechanics adapt curved lifts to the curves of your staircase. For a spiral staircase, the respective model must be designed to be particularly space-saving; the width of the staircase should be at least 70 centimetres for these models. In any case, there is the right model for all people with restricted mobility and all structural environments in our large selection of stairlifts.
Where do stairlifts make sense?
For people with restricted mobility, mobility aids are always an option for maintaining independence and freedom of movement. Stair seat lifts, for example, are suitable for people with painful osteoarthritis, when the stairs become an almost insurmountable obstacle. Stair platform lifts are just as suitable for wheelchair users as they are for people with rollators, enabling them to move from one floor to another with their aids.
Stairlifts for indoor and outdoor use
Maintaining independence and freedom of movement is the main concern when buying a stairlift. In most cases, potential buyers want to be able to move freely indoors, but an installation can also make sense outdoors. Due to their health problems, many people opt for a lift in the entrance area of their home. There are often many steps here, which can be a challenge for wheelchair users, for example. Many manufacturers therefore offer stairlifts for outside the home so that those affected can remain mobile and continue to fulfil their everyday obligations and private habits.
The classic stairlift is usually installed outdoors on a corresponding rail system. It is attached to the staircase and the seat moves up or down the side of the staircase. Lifting or platform lifts are also used depending on the structural conditions and personal requirements.
How much does a stairlift cost?
Buying from an online shop has become a matter of course for many customers. However, there is no need to forego personalised advice on site, which is why our service is highly qualified and prepared to meet all customer requirements in person. The consultation goes into detail about your ideas and also provides information about subsidy options. Please refer to the following table for the expected price ranges.
- Stair seat lifts - from CHF 3795.00
- Stair platform lifts - from CHF 10,802.00
- Vertical lifts - from CHF 11,782.00
Stair platform lifts are therefore always slightly more expensive than stair seat lifts. This is because their construction is more complex, as the materials have to be even more stable than in the standard version in order to maintain the user's freedom of movement practically and safely.
