Original Spitznertherm warm pack with innovative PCM technology - optimised heat therapy
More than 20 years ago, Spitzner created the Spitzner Therm Warmpack, which is still a pioneering innovation in the field of physical therapy today.
With this unique product, Spitzner has revolutionised heat therapy and is now the recognised market leader in this field.
We are delighted to present the next generation Spitzner Therm Warmpack to you today. Be it in physiotherapy, occupational therapy or for heat treatment on hospital wards.
Get to know Spitzner Therm Warmpack: The optimised heat therapy with PCM!
The Spitzner Therm Warmpack is a state-of-the-art heat therapy solution designed to maximise efficiency and comfort.
Manufactured with bonded PCM technology, called PX, an ecological carrier matrix combined with the selected PCM results in an absolutely dry powder with a free-flowing character. Above and below the phase change temperature, the storage material effectively stores heat without volume expansion.
PX materials generally offer high storage capacities and the newly developed heat storage powder is specially tailored to the particular requirements of heat therapy.
With the new heat storage powder, the warm-up time can now be almost halved, resulting in enormous time savings and a significant reduction in electricity costs. Nevertheless, the therapeutically effective heat of approx. 52 °C is maintained over the entire application period. The new, very pleasant to the touch fabric cover with a water and dirt-repellent surface (FC impregnation) improves handling considerably.
The smooth lying surface without irritating seams provides patients with a particularly high level of comfort.
The Spitzner Therm Warmpack offers an optimised, environmentally conscious solution for heat therapy that focuses on user comfort, time efficiency and energy savings.
Optimisations:
- Significantly reduced heat-up time - A standard heating cabinet requires approx. 2.5 hours (previously approx. 4 hours) at 70 °C (max. 75 °C) to heat up 10 cold Spitzner Therm Warmpacks, for example.
- If the closed heating cabinet is switched off overnight, the heating time the next morning is only around 60 minutes (previously approx. 2 hours). Due to its residual heat, the Spitzner Therm Warmpack only needs to be reheated in the heating cabinet for 30 to 45 minutes after a treatment.
- Simplified disinfection - can now be disinfected with all commercially available alcohol-free disinfectants.
- Improved haptics and modelling thanks to new textile
- 2-year guarantee Thanks to the sewing system, no seam sealing is required, which extends the life cycle of the
- significantly increases the life cycle of the Spitzner Therm Warmpack. Therefore Spitznertherefore offers a two-year guarantee on the physical function of the warm pack.
Application:
The Spitzner Therm Warmpack can be heated to 70 °C (max. 75 °C) on a standard catch tray in a commercially available heating cabinet (not a microwave or water bath). The warm pack has an initial surface temperature of 70 °C and drops to 52 °C within a few minutes. This temperature is considered to be particularly effective therapeutically and is maintained for the entire duration of the treatment. The warm pack is modelled on the patient.
- Heat therapy for subacute and chronic rheumatic conditions (inflammatory and degenerative joint and spinal diseases, "soft tissue rheumatism")
- Heat therapy for post-acute conditions following trauma to the musculoskeletal system
- Heat therapy for pain relief
- Acute inflammatory conditions
- Acute conditions following trauma
- Bleeding, oedema
- Macro- and microangiopathic circulatory disorders of the skin
- Feverish conditions
- Skin areas with sensory disturbances
- extensive skin injuries and acute skin diseases
Comprehensive studies confirm the effectiveness of Spitzner Therm Warmpack. A thermo-physical and clinical test showed that the Spitzner Therm Warmpack is superior to fango paraffin, taking into account the cost and handling advantages.

Indications:
Contraindications:
Phase change materials (PCM for short) are used to store heat and cold. The best-known example in nature is water, which changes phase from liquid to solid at 0 °C and has been used for centuries in the form of ice and snow to cool food. The Spitzner Therm Warmpack is based on this innovative PCM technology. It contains a high-quality latent heat storage material and an ecological carrier.
