The human brain in frontal sections offers an innovative way to study the structures of the brain. Due to the three-dimensional characteristics of the adult brain, the appearance of the neuronal structures varies depending on the plane of the section. Current diagnostic procedures allow different views of the structures in the same patient. Due to the fact that neurological anatomical markers are often used to confirm suspected diagnoses, medical science students need to be familiar with deciphering neurological structures from different perspectives. Until now, suitable models of the human brain with frontal slices were not available. We are therefore pleased to present this new model of the human brain in frontal slices, which was developed in collaboration with Dr Cara Davis. Discreetly integrated magnets and matching surface structures make it easy to assemble the parts and connect them stably.
