Choose the Right Showering Aid
Enjoy showering again! Showering aids can make things much easier when mobility is limited. We offer a wide range to suit different needs, from simple shower stools to shower commode chairs.
Shower Stools Save Space
Basic shower stool
These showering aids are versatile and fit into almost any shower enclosure. The height-adjustable legs make it easy to set the stool to the required height. The feet angle slightly outwards for stability, while rubber tips help prevent the stool from slipping on a wet shower floor. The standard model is rated for a body weight of up to 130 kg and has a comfortable seat. For a more comfortable seat, the Delphi 2 Plus has a larger seat with two hygiene openings and supports up to 180 kg.
Shower stool with swivel seat.
These showering aids allow the user to turn while seated in the shower. They are well suited to care provided by an attendant. There is no need to stand up or move around unnecessarily, and the user can easily turn their back to the carer. The telescopic legs and rubber feet support safe working at a suitable height for the carer.
Three-legged shower stool
These showering aids fit neatly into a corner of the shower. The triangular design keeps the stool stable and slip-resistant. The triangular seat does not need a hygiene opening, while a drainage hole allows water to run off quickly. A good option for particularly small bathrooms and showers.
Shower stool with armrests
The armrests provide support at the sides and something to push against when standing up, making this a secure seat. The wide seat and widely spaced telescopic legs make the chair particularly stable. The hygiene opening and drainage holes allow water to drain quickly and make intimate care easier. At 2.8 kg, these showering aids are still easy to handle.
Folding shower seat
This wall-mounted seat is particularly suitable where space is limited. It is also practical to fold the seat up after showering. The wall must be strong enough to support the seat, and there must be no water pipes hidden behind it where the screw anchors will be drilled. The seat is stabilised by height-adjustable telescopic legs and supports up to 130 kg. Its generous seat provides comfortable seating, while drainage holes and a hygiene opening allow water to run off easily.
Shower Chairs
Shower chairs without armrests
Unlike shower stools, a shower chair provides a comfortable seat with a backrest. On some of these showering aids, the backrest can be removed so the chair can be used as a stool. These aids are easy to assemble and take apart, so they can be taken when travelling. Without the backrest, the DH 135 shower chair weighs just 2 kg; with the backrest, it weighs 3 kg.
Stable shower chair with cross braces
The DS 250 offers greater stability and resistance to twisting. This construction allows it to support a body weight of up to 250 kg. It is available with or without armrests. The generous, flat seat has drainage holes to let water run off quickly. These showering aids are well suited to heavier users.
Shower chair with a contoured seat and carrying handles
The Duro KD chair is recommended for people with a sensitive tailbone or at risk of pressure sores in this area. The carrying handles at the sides make it easy to move. It is a practical aid for carers in both home and residential care. The backrest can be removed if required.
Shower chair with armrests
The armrests help users stand up independently and provide greater support at the sides. The DSF 130 model has a practical folding function for compact storage. The seats on these showering aids have a hygiene opening.
Shower Commode Chairs
Aston 5"
This model combines a commode chair and showering aid. Its soft seat and close-fitting cover over the bucket make it suitable for longer periods of use during the day. Small wheels on the legs make it easy to move indoors from the bathroom to the living area. The footrests swivel and can be removed.
Aston 24" and Duo Motion 24"
These wheelchairs serve three purposes: as a toilet, a showering aid and a practical indoor wheelchair. The drive wheels can be removed using their quick-release axles for transport. The footrests can also be swivelled aside and removed. The seat is padded and has a toilet opening with a shaped cover integrated into the seat. The bucket underneath can be pulled out towards the back. Users can propel these shower commode chairs themselves because the wheels have hand rims. The Aston 24 is suitable for people weighing up to 160 kg.
Stable DuoMotion XL 24" commode chair
Thanks to its additional cross braces, this comfortable shower commode chair supports a body weight of up to 200 kg and has an internal seat width of 87 cm. The seat height is adjustable. Hand rims allow users to propel the chair independently. The supportive, comfortable backrest cover is removable and machine washable. The footrests swivel and can be removed. Despite its size, this commode chair is manoeuvrable and easy to move thanks to its small castors.
