NATURAL MOBILITY OF THE JOINTS
Unlike skeletons with metal hinges, Oscar can move his joints freely. The joint surfaces slide over each other and are not unnaturally far apart, as is often the case with other models. This means that not only rotational movements can be reproduced, but also all sliding movements in the joint. Thanks to the quick-release fastener, the joints can be detached and rejoined in a flash. Removing extremities is therefore child's play.
IDEALISED SKULL
The three-part skull has been digitised and adapted so that it corresponds exactly to the standard anatomy. The size corresponds to the average European size, all important structures, fissures, foramina and processus are present. The skull can be dissected into skull base, lower jaw and skull roof. The skullcap is aligned to the base of the skull with metal pins and is held in place by magnets. Unlike almost all competitor skulls, this technology means that pins can no longer break off and there is no gap between the skull cap and the base of the skull. There are no interfering locking hooks that can bend or break off.
The spinal column of the skeleton shows the spinal nerves, the vertebral artery and a dorsolateral herniated disc.
