The TORK extra-absorbent kitchen roll is suitable for everyday wiping tasks such as wiping surfaces and mopping up water, oil and food residues. A soft, strong yet absorbent paper that enables more efficient drying with less waste.
Material
This product is made of virgin pulp and the packaging material is made of paper or plastic. Fresh fibres are made from softwood or hardwood. The wood is chemically treated and/or subjected to mechanical processes to filter out the cellulose fibres and remove lignin and other residues. Bleaching is a process in which the fibres are cleaned. The aim is not only to obtain a lighter-coloured pulp, but also a material with a certain degree of purity so that it meets the requirements for hygiene products and, in some cases, food safety regulations. Nowadays, there are different methods of bleaching: elemental chlorine-free bleaching (ECF) uses chlorine dioxide, while total chlorine-free bleaching (TCF) uses ozone, oxygen and hydrogen peroxide.
