Herniated disc simulator
Herniated disc simulator
to vividly simulate a slipped disc
This model of two lumbar vertebrae in a schematic representation is enlarged approximately 2 times and offers the therapist the opportunity to simulate a slipped disc vividly. By compressing the vertebral bodies, the inner core of the intervertebral disc is pressed out and thus illustrates the mechanics of a herniated disc very clearly. The emerging prolapse can be pressed out in such a way that the effect on the spinal nerve is clearly visible. With this aid, you can quickly and easily explain to your patients what happens when a disc herniates. The enlarged display makes the model very easy to handle and also ideal for use in groups.
